Summary of Position

The Executive Meeting Manager (EMM) handles groups with room blocks between 10-25 in all industries, handling booking from receipt through departure. This is a reactive position with no prospecting goals. Position also acts as the “lead catcher” reviewing all leads as they come through Meeting Broker/Delphi assigning accordingly and ensuring responses are sent to client within 4 hours.

Roles and Responsibilities

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

  1. Requires excellent verbal and written skills as will often be the first point of contact with client.
  2. Respond to RFP within 4 hours.
  3. Organizational skills are a must as this person will work with both the sales and servicing elements of program.
  4. Ability to build rapport with clients and extract details needed to understand program and relating group needs to all operational departments.
  5. Output of work is through the Salesforce/Delphi system, i.e., bookings, merging contracts, group resumes and BEO’s being generated.
  6. Updating the sourcing platform Cvent to include client responses, generation of eProposal's, running reports, etc.
  7. Must have exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills to create client loyalty and confidence
  8. Work in conjunction with other departments within the hotel to ensure smooth handling of groups.
  9. Must have entrepreneurial mindset and be able to take initiative to capture business and maximize profits for the hotel.
  10. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years’ experience in Hotel Sales on property working in a sales and catering system.
  • Must possess technical skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi/Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Cvent platform a plus
  • Exceptional communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Possible prolonged periods of standing.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
