Bookkeeper

Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day accounting activities. This person will establish, implement, and maintain systems for collecting, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of all company financial information.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable/receivable
• Responsible for validation, and processing of all vendor invoices
• Review expense reports for accuracy and validity.
• Enter customer quotes, invoices, and credit memos.
• Follow up with customers for timely payments.
• Record customer credit card transactions and all Cash receipts.
• Maintaining daily/monthly Excel financial reports
• Month and year-end closing process
• Ensure all accounts payables and receivables are kept up to date.
• Work with both customers and vendors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and/or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Have strong problem-solving skills including the ability to recommend options and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office especially Excel
• Through QuickBooks knowledge of both Enterprise and Online
• Knowledge of Ariba and SPS preferred.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• AS degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
