Purchasing Manager

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager for our Longmont facility. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for creating purchase orders for the acquisition of materials. Creating and maintaining the production schedule. Drive growth in our active inventory roll out process.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and supervise purchasing staff.
• Maintain inventory levels, planning when to make purchases and how to distribute goods.
• Handle paperwork for purchase orders and keep records of inventory and transactions.
• Research vendors to determine which ones have the best prices and negotiate contracts.
• Analyze and report on purchasing metrics, creating standard and ad hoc reports.
• Maintain and update vendor database and contact information in NetSuite.
• Maintain the production schedule.
• Seek out price downs and pricing wins.
• Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Inventory management. Including conducting monthly inventory count.
• Place purchase orders.
• Work with engineering on new assembly release.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of Purchasing experience. Management preferred.
• Purchasing experience in a high-volume work environment is desired.
• NetSuite experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
• Prior experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred.
• Detail oriented.

Work Environment:

• Office Setting, primarily in cubicles
• Moderate to high noise levels (i.e. business office with computers, phone, printers, moderate traffic)
• Ability to sit or stand (standing desk provide upon request) at a computer terminal for an extended period

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate (talk/sign/type/write) and operate a computer, telephone (or alternative), keyboard (or typing device), etc.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
• Regular, predictable attendance is required
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 112,000.00/annually.
