We are in immediate need of Production/Project Lead who is energetic, has good knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and a change agent to help our rapidly growing USA business unit take over the Protective Footwear marketplace. The candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Production and Project Management.

The ideal candidate will have overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, and continuous improvement/projects.

Essential Functions

1. Lead and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, continuous improvement and related projects.
2. Lead by example: know and understand performance numbers, actively involved in and oversees areas of responsibility, drives continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
3. Hands-on management: experience in managing a team, but also actively involved in day to day operations and what happens ‘on the floor’.
4. World class manufacturing principles e.g. Lean, 6Sigma, TPM (OEE improvement): strong knowledge of principles with ability to implement site wide.
5. Cultural transformation: drives a clear path to a “one team” approach
6. Develop and implement production plans that achieve budgetary targets: prepare, analyze, and present area performance on key KPIs (including action plans to support). Assists in the preparation of department forecasts and budgets (Direct Labor, Material Variances, Overhead, etc.).
7. Maintenance organization: lead a world class maintenance program that manages capital asset maintenance, maintain existing plant facilities & equipment, and embraces an all-inclusive preventative maintenance programs.
8. People Leadership/Development: provides direction, development and leadership to production/ maintenance leadership.
9. Continuous improvement- create and embrace data driven initiatives to enhance productivity of the plant, reduce rejection rates and improve overall quality.

Education and Experience:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field

2. Experience:

• Plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years successfully involved / responsible for operational processes (manufacturing and/or SCM).

• Cross-functionally experience in an international organization, managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

• Financial knowledge: Is familiar with all factors that influence the total company P&L and all cost factors and drivers that play part in manufacturing and supply.

• Modern MRP/WMS systems experience

3. Language: fluent English

Supervisory Responsibility

This position leads all production/maintenance employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000/year
