Job Title: Program Director

Department: Life Choices

Reports To: Senior Director of Wellbeing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary:

Supervises Case Managers, Nurses and clinicians in accordance with their job duties. Train and orients new staff. Provides crisis intervention as needed. Acts as back up where needed, to staff in the department.


  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations of grantors.
  • Models the Pillars and guiding principles of NSO at all times.


Requirements:

Education: Master of Arts, or Master of Science in Psychology or related degree, MSW

  • Required Licensure: LMSW or LP; must be eligible for credentialing

Minimum Required Experience: Supervision and management of professional staff

  • Demonstrates problem-solving and communication skills.
  • 5 years of mental health experience
  • Demonstrates experience in Person Centered principles.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable about needs of persons with disabilities
  • Knowledgeable about resources for persons with disabilities.
  • Sufficient clinical skills to aid staff in assessing consumer’s needs.
  • Supervises staff; teaches staff job functions when needed.
  • Ensure staff provides timely services to consumers and documentation is completed according to organizational and provider/funder standards.
  • Set performance expectations of the department or individual work unit.
  • Develop performance objectives for direct reports.
  • Supervise staff which includes mentoring, coaching, training, and administering disciplinary actions as necessary in keeping with Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Delegate by allocating decision making and other responsibilities appropriately and effectively.
  • Give performance reviews on time and takes an active role in the development of subordinates
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Complete internal audits of electronic records monthly
  • Research grant opportunities and new business development
