Position Summary
This Financial Paralegal / Trust Analyst position is integral to our trust administration and private foundation operations. It requires a thorough understanding of accounting and the motivation to ensure the work is 100% accurate. The position is responsible for preparing and reviewing various journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing both regular and ad-hoc reports. The position coordinates directly with an attorney on various financial aspects of trust and private foundations administration for ultra-high net worth clients. Confidentiality of proprietary information is a must.

The position is responsible for preparing and reviewing various journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing both regular and ad-hoc reports. The position coordinates directly with an attorney on various financial aspects of trust and private foundations administration for ultra-high net worth clients. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Track multiple tax deadlines and incoming tax documents.
- Coordinate with CPA, clients and investment advisors to obtain missing tax documents.
- Track grant reconciliation and update historic analysis.
- Manage correspondence between attorney and clients.
- Organize, file, and maintain physical and electronic files.
- Proofread draft documents.
- Review cash statements and financial reports for accuracy.
- Pay bills and write checks.
- Prepare trust accountings, as needed and miscellaneous projects as requested.
- Multiple account reconciliations, including scanning and uploading monthly statements.
- Prepare Unitrust quarterly calculations.
- Communicate with internal teams, financial institutions, and CPA.
- Daily tracking and entering of billable time for each client into the firm's client billing system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including but not limited to basic and advanced formula usage, data sorting, graphing, filtering, pivot tables and manipulation.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
- Ability to both, follow instructions, and think and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
- Understanding of written legal material.
- Ability to understand and summarize basic financial statements.
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent training or work experience
