Summary: The role of the Vice President of Lending Solutions Consumer and Home is responsible for the strategic planning, development, execution and achievement of all lending activities for Travis Credit Union (TCU). The successful VP is a highly effective leader with experience in consumer and mortgage lending experience leading product, strategic planning, territory management, team performance, and revenue growth.

Profile:
  • Strategic Planning: Develops and executes strategic plans for the consumer and home lending teams aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. This includes identifying market opportunities, assessing risks, and implementing strategies to drive lending growth.
  • Sales Planning: Nurtures the TCU culture of the respective lending team by providing a framework, foundation and structure that engages the team; motivating and supporting them to meet or exceed sales targets. Develops sales plans and actively manages sales pipelines with the responsibility for the reporting of sales forecasts and related budget expectations. Tracks and actively manages sales campaigns, digital and traditional, and lead management in the CRM.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitors and manages the consumer and home lending portfolio to achieve desired performance metrics, such as loan volume, profitability, and credit quality. Analyzes portfolio trends, identifies areas for improvement, and implements strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Sales Operations: Business stakeholder in annual variable pay program design process; responsible for implementation and administration of the respective programs and internal campaigns that engage the salesforce. Owner of sales teams CRM engagement, pipeline management and leadership reporting.
  • Teamwork & Leadership: Understands member and market behaviors and influences cross-functional teams to develop and drive member engagement and experience strategies that meet or exceed financial goals and member expectations. Recruits, professionally develops, motivates and retains a team of high performing, results-oriented and member-focused staff helping to develop their craft and career paths. Drives the team to meet and exceed department goals and objectives by creating and holding them accountable to expected performance levels. Identifies gaps and innovates/adjusts as needed.
  • Technology and Innovation: Stays abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in consumer and home lending practices. Evaluates and implements new technologies and innovative solutions to enhance consumer and home lending processes, improve customer experience, and partner to drive operational efficiency.
  • Communication: Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, in-person and virtually. Collaborates with peers on a frequent basis to align on mutual priorities and to find ways to better serve the membership and meet the credit union's objectives.
  • Community: Participates in civic and community activities to enhance the credit union's image, brand and visibility, as well as reinforces the credit union's commitment to the communities we serve. Models the TCU mission, vision and core values. Promotes our member centric culture.
  • Board & Executive Meetings: As requested, attends meetings to report on areas of responsibility and actively participates in the organizational short-and long-term strategic planning and goal setting. Provides executive summaries on growth programs and outcomes


Skills:
  • Driven to succeed, a team player and skilled in communications and client relations.
  • Knowledge of the Sales process: transaction, legal docs, sales cycle, and growth models.
  • Deep experience with AI/CRMs and related tools and functionality (reporting, journeys, conversion triggers).
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry lending operations, products and services and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven success in managing department Profit & Loss (P&L).

Supervisory Relationships:
  • Reports directly to the SVP/Chief Lending Officer.
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for the Sales team.
  • Overall management responsibility for all division staff.

Experience and Education:
  • BA/BS in Business or related field or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years senior management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven success and extensive experience in consumer/home mortgage loans, required; in a similarly sized financial institution preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of consumer and real estate lending, analytics, underwriting, secondary marketing, relationship management, credit analysis, pricing models, concentration/portfolio management.

Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Requires traveling to Credit Union branches and other venues, and attending special and community-related events during business hours, evenings and/or weekends.

Participation in TCU Driving Program is required. Incumbents will be required to furnish their driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles, proof on insurance and sign an authorization so TCU can obtain records directly from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Subject to any limitations imposed by law, full cooperation with any request for records or request for an authorization to seek such records is required.

Compensation: Base salary starting range: $190,000 - $300,000 is commensurate with experience.
