Grants Management
1. Manages existing grants by: tracking grants; updating internal reporting systems; writing
reports; maintaining excellent historical records; working to ensure each project or program is.

2. Develops and prioritizes projects and proposals: meet and work with staff to elicit projects and
programs that need support; manage monthly meetings to vet projects and programs and set.

3. Coordinates and assists in authoring private, foundation, and local, state and federal
government grant proposals.
4. Produces and submits reports specific to needs of granting agencies.
5. Produces and maintains calendar of grant activity.
6. Research new funding opportunities.
7. Reports all funding opportunities, awards and denials to supervisor.
8. Maintains, updates and/or compiles all granting resource data, documents, reports and
materials.
9. Ensures current programs and statistics are accurately represented and that all relevant
information is current, medically accurate and evidence based.
10. Acts as liaison for granting agencies for pre-application consultation, site visits, tours, and other
meetings as needed.
11. Responsible for other duties as required to assist the development department and LCHC in
achieving its mission, including project management and reporting oversight.
Required Skills or Abilities*
1. Ability to strongly embrace and personify the mission of the Lawndale Christian Health Center.
2. Strong administrative and project management skills.
3. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
4. Quantitative skills required to work with spreadsheets and produce reports.
5. Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, manage deadlines, and work independently.
6. Requires experience and/or demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural, fast-paced setting.
7. Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
8. Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals.
Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration
1. A bachelor's degree and 2 plus years of administrative experience, preferably in development.
2. Experience with proposal writing, grant writing, and management of grants submission.
3. Experience working with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants preferred.
4. Knowledge of fundraising information sources.
5. Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies.
