Training Specialist III & IV - L & D

The Training Specialist provides training to new, existing, and acquired employees for J&J, JJPF, and SUA. This training is designed to grow the employees’ knowledge and enhance department operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Training Specialist I and II – People in either of these roles will perform all duties under the strict oversight of the training manager.
- Training Specialist I
- Assist with training for new, existing, and acquired employees
- Maintain training schedules for trainees as assigned
- Assist with creation and maintenance of training materials
- Assist department leads and/or managers to find efficiencies within processes and procedures
- Assist with testing new or enhanced system platforms prior to implementation
- Annual 16 hour continuing education
- Training Specialist II
- Assist with training for new, existing, and acquired employees
- Maintain training schedules for trainees as assigned
- Assist with creation and maintenance of training materials
- Assist department leads and/or managers to find efficiencies within processes and procedures
- Assist with testing new or enhanced system platforms prior to implementation
- Annual 16 hour continuing education
Training Specialist III and IV – People in either of these roles will exercise discretion and judgment while performing job duties, with the authority to make independent decisions.
- Training Specialist III
- Provide training to new, existing, and acquired employees
- Create and maintain training schedules for trainees as assigned
- Participate in creation and maintenance of training materials
- Collaborate with Training Team Manager and department managers to develop individual employee education and/or skill development needs
- Provide feedback to managers regarding employee efforts and accomplishments
- Collaborate with department leads and/or managers to find efficiencies within processes and procedures
- Participate in testing new or enhanced system platforms prior to implementation
- Annual 16 hour continuing education
- Training Specialist IV
- Provide training to new, existing, and acquired employees
- Create and maintain training schedules for trainees as assigned
- Participate in creation and maintenance of training materials
- Collaborate with Training Team Manager and department managers to develop individual employee education and/or skill development needs

Education and Work Experience:
Training Specialist I and II
- 2-year degree in general business or related field preferred
- 2 years’ experience in related insurance field and/or training background preferred
Training Specialist III and IV
- 2-year degree in general business or related field preferred
- 3 years’ experience in related insurance field and/or training background preferred
