Description

We are looking for a wonderful Associate Dentist to add to our effort to provide our community with excellent dental care three days a week. Responsibilities

•Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral health issues, and develop treatment plans
•Conduct routine dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, fluoride treatment, and other diagnostic and preventative procedures
•Perform cosmetic dental procedures, including veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, and dentures
•Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry and integrate them into practice
•Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
•Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
•Issue referral for the client to dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate
•Conduct work that is compliant with office policies and procedures; safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines; and infection and infectious diseases control standards
•Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene
•Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated

Qualifications

Relevant Skills

•In-depth knowledge of general dental procedures
•Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
•Experience with computerized charting and digital imaging systems
•Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Demonstrates empathy and sensitivity towards patients
•Strong work ethic and professional behavior

Qualifications

•DDS or DMD degree
•Current and valid state dental license
•Experience in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligner therapy is an asset
•Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required
•Familiarity with dental practice management software is an asset
•Familiarity with computers
•Strong bedside manner and great communication skills are necessary
•Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
•CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required
•A minimum of two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required
