Salary:

Seeking experienced Consultant - Tribe Subject Matter Expert Overview 


KL Scott and Associates is seeking an experienced Tribal Consultant to coordinate and deliver comprehensive program support. This position will provide advisory and consultation services to multiple states, territories, and tribal communities that the Office of Child Care work with and serve as an expert in tribal relations. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and issues in tribal relations. 
  • Conduct needs assessments, develop strategic plans, and provide consultations to states, territories, and tribes on a variety of and information technology process improvement issues. 
  • Develop and deliver training materials, toolkits, briefs, and presentations for the technical assistance program. 
  • Facilitate workgroups and communities of practice to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among states, territories, and tribes. 
  • Integrate with the Child Care Technical Assistance Network (CCTAN) to collaborate and coordinate technical assistance delivery, best practices and lessons learned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in business, Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 
  • More than 5+ years of experience providing consultation services focused on process and experience improvement.  Experience working with child, youth, or family serving programs is preferred. 
  • More than 3+ years of experience working with different tribes across the country in multi-domain projects (Reporting, IT, Service Delivery). 
  • Experience working with technical assistance networks and diverse centers in the planning and delivery of consultations. 
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of technology  
  • Experience facilitating workgroups and communities of practice. 
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require travel as needed.
