Your New Job

Job Summary: The VP, Project Delivery oversees our CNS Project Delivery leadership team. Develops, improves, and oversees ownership, tools, procedures, and systems of project delivery processes and procedures to deliver profitable engineering and construction projects and supports the large project teams with functional expertise, staffing coordination and training. Builds and develops functional excellence, expertise and oversight for project delivery certainty, improvement, and creation of best practices across multiple large programs.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Helps to build and improve turn-key program management function over time. Establishes governance structures, best practices, and organizational processes that provide guidance to large projects.
  • Supports and audits large project operations to ensure processes are followed, providing the tools and support needed to course correct any issues.
  • Plans, organizes, and monitors the overall program objectives for the department. Establishes metrics and key KPI’s that track and encourage on-time and on-budget project delivery.
  • Tracks continuous improvements by establishing, measuring, and reporting operating metrics. Monitor and report on program performance, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Provides oversight and coordination along with operational leadership for staffing changes and/or issues between large programs and projects.
  • Aligns team efforts with company goals with a keen eye on deadlines, task delegation, and efficiency.
  • Ensures that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used, including change, issue, risk and quality management and appropriate documentation.
  • Provides coordination to utilize internal tools and company assets to meet the requirements for the project work - (ERP, software tools and systems).
  • Identifies opportunities for organizational improvements and drive meaningful change that supports the organization’s ability to mature and scale.
  • Oversees and/or review all operations department major, difficult problems or challenges, and/or legal issues with the support of the legal team.
  • Works with Business Development team to identify new opportunities and markets to bid on projects which will result in divisional growth and long-term sustainability.
  • Develops and implements processes and expertise for project kick-off, initiation, and mid-cycle reviews. Identifies experts and resources necessary to support healthy starts, recovery plans or significant changes within large projects.
  • Provide leadership mentoring, coaching, guidance, and support for all operations department personnel.
  • Drives a work culture focused on safe, on time and profitable large project completion.
  • Supports and collaborates to allocate and manage best use of internal and external assets.
  • Facilitates seamless communication and coordination between other departments, promoting a culture of collaboration and information sharing.
  • Plays key role with management of new hires. Trains, evaluates, coaches, and counsels’ management staff within division.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing large-scale telecom projects, or similar technical field.
  • Proven track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance structures, and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing metrics and KPIs for project performance tracking.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team mentorship and development.
  • Proficiency in change, issue, risk, and quality management processes, along with ERP and project management tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, address operational challenges, and identify growth opportunities.

Nice to Have:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with large-scale telecom infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Background in business development and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the telecommunications sector.
