Position Title: RN/OR Manager
Department: Nursing
Supervisor: Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
Position Summary: Assesses, plans, directs and evaluates the delivery of
nursing care within his/her unit and is responsible for covering his/her unit when
all other measures taken by CNO are exhausted. RN Supervisor is responsible
for his/her area 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position.
Position Accountabilities:
1) Coordinates and directs the delivery of patient care, ensuring updates and utilization
of EMR.
2) Interprets and adheres to hospital policies and procedures; updates nursing
policies and procedures as needed.
3) Utilizes problem solving approach in resolving problems between patients,
employees, medical staff, visitors, etc.
4) Evaluates nursing care using monitoring criteria.
5) Insures safety and comfort of patients and also health and safety of
employees.
6) Keeps CNO informed of patient care issues, needs and reportable situations.
7) Provides leadership and sets example in emergency situations and drills.
Keeps emergency equipment ready for use.
8) Market surgical services to area providers.
9) Evaluates employee performance annually.
10) Maintains operational functioning of the nursing unit as necessary.
11) Completes special assignments as required by nursing administration.
12) Involved with hiring staff for his/her area.
13) Regularly schedules conferences with personnel as needed.
14) Evaluates nursing care plans used by staff, relating to nursing diagnosis,
initiation and updates.
15) Professional Development:
16) Responsible for all areas of operating room (surgery).
17) Performs other job related duties as assigned by CNO.

16) Responsible for all areas of operating room (surgery).
17) Performs other job related duties as assigned by CNO.
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse in Arkansas.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
- Management experience preferred.
Skills:
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
