Job Title: Excavation Estimator

Location: Lehi, Utah

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Excavation team, Earth Services. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in examining and estimating the work of various excavation projects. You will work closely with the project managers and clients to provide accurate estimates and ensure projects are completed within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to review quotes and estimates.
• Prepare detailed proposals for customers as needed.
• Maintain an updated database of unit rates for accurate estimating.
• Manage all estimating processes from start to finish.
• Attend project meetings and company training sessions.
• Develop, prepare, and maintain buyout budgets, including small business goals.
• Perform research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing.
• Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs.
• Develop relationships with engineers to discuss plans and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to approved processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 3 years of estimating experience, preferably for excavation projects.
• Proficient in using estimating software, including B2W and Heavybids.
• Experience with Pix4D
• Strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and excellent time management capabilities.
