Our client is seeking a Data Engineer for McLean, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.
Introduction:
Our client seeks a Data Engineer/Scientist to support a joint IC initiative. The role involves researching, designing, developing, and modifying enterprise-wide systems and application software, troubleshooting complex data flows, and resolving hardware and software compatibility issues. The candidate will also guide less-experienced team members and may serve as a technical team or task leader.
Role:
Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and application software.
Develop and troubleshoot complex data flows and make significant enhancements to existing pipelines.
Resolve complex hardware and software compatibility and interface design considerations.
Apply analytical skills to create innovative solutions and problem-solve, including debugging and testing applications.
Research emerging technologies to determine their impact on application execution.
Provide input to Customer staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation.
Prepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience with the following languages: Java/J2EE, C, C++, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, and ECL.
Demonstrated experience with server operating systems: Linux and Cloud infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation for security, architecture, and implementation guides.
Demonstrated experience comprehending database methodologies such as strong SQL query or Elasticsearch experience.
Demonstrated experience with data analytics skills, including detailed data analysis and metric generation in support of system users.
Demonstrated experience with data visualization and data validation routines.
Demonstrated experience supporting and monitoring system processes and configuration.
Nice to Have:
Demonstrated experience supporting the technical processing of vetting requests for analytical comparison against the Customer's holdings.
Demonstrated experience with computer processing platforms such as computers, mobile devices, and IoT and using that knowledge in a clustered computing environment.
Demonstrated experience with big data processing experience supporting a screening and vetting mission.
Demonstrated experience using HPCC-ECL.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated data processes in MySQL databases and Pentaho workflows.
Demonstrated experience with data visualization and data validation routines for large-size information systems.
Demonstrated experience coordinating screening and vetting entity resolution amongst project teams.
