Purchasing Estimator

As a Purchasing Estimator at Marrano Marc-Equity Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of construction hard costs, from the base models to custom optional purchases. You will be responsible for updating hard cost budgets, pricing special quotes, crafting customer quotes, and creating new price book options with comprehensive descriptions and a strong attention to detail. The Purchasing Estimator will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all data used in the pricing of construction projects.

Reporting to our Director of Purchasing, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and updating hard cost budgets for new and current models to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements and market conditions.
• Accurately price special quotes as requested by the sales team.
• Crafting detailed and accurate customer quotes, incorporating pricing, specifications, and project details.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive price book options to facilitate informed decision making.
• Updating and maintaining models, options, and supplier cost take-offs in Newstar software.
• Approving invoices and purchase orders.
• Creating and processing window purchase orders.
• Developing templates to streamline the initiation, execution, and completion of new projects.

You are someone who has:

• 3+ years of experience in residential construction administration or related field.
• High School Diploma
• Ability to provide exceptional quality service to external and internal customers.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and Internet applications.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with internal departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
