Job Description
As a result of rapid growth and expansion, our client has retained us to fill a highly visible Confidential Director Operations Excellence. This role is highly visible and due to its importance to the overall organization, the selected leader will be earmarked for succession planning and promotion to Sr. Director Operations Excellence. Our client is an industry leader, who has been growing aggressively with revenues in excess of $4 Billion. As a result of this aggressive growth, they have asked us to identify an Director Operations Excellence professional who has both strong project management skills, as well as solid Continuous Improvement accomplishments. This leader will focus on successfully leading highly complex distribution initiatives, design, and project implementations. This role will be recognized as the authority in implementing systems and processes that will support ongoing operations and future business growth. This role will ensure the execution of projects to deliver robust, cost-effective supply chain execution capabilities, which require a strong emphasis on managing multiple stakeholders and proactive communication. Extensive industry experience, along with the ability to practice judgment to plan and accomplish company goals will be a priority. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop into a Senior Director Operations Excellence as the company and role continues to grow! Director Operations Excellence Our client is committed to hiring the best of the best Total compensation will vary based on the individual s experience This role is partially hybrid However the individual must be based in: Indianapolis, IN (closer to Fishers), Tampa, FL, Frederick, MD area, or the Illinois/Missouri Border The ideal individual will: Guide and drive the development of roadmaps, solutions and resources necessary to deliver on our customer commitments Direct management activities for the entire DC network (over 8 DC s) to ensure programs are established and executed to minimize expense, enable high productivity and quality customer service, diagnose operational issues and assist management in development of solutions, action plans and communication to resolve those issues Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets through distribution center management; prioritizes capital initiatives; direct DC leadership to monitor and report activity vs. budget Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement resulting in cost and/or time saved. Monitor and evaluate distribution center operating results to provide information to other key decision-makers to insure follow through on sub-standard operations Responsible for sourcing and introducing new technologies into the distribution business as a part of continuous improvement initiatives Manage and execute all Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategies within the organization. Uses metrics (leading indicators) to provide support to process owners Must have the ability to relate to senior leadership and boots on the ground leadership. A proven leader of people with a passion to succeed who wants to be associated with a growing business on the ground floor. Experience with Refrigeration (Temperature Control) Design and Material Handling Design There will be approximately 50% travel. BA/BS Degree a plus Must Haves: ?
