Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Specialist - Leadership will oversee the development and management of FFA leadership development programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission. These programs target FFA members in grades 5-12 and collegiate students. Utilizing advanced methodologies and technologies, program development efforts will prioritize student-centered educational content.

Furthermore, the Program Specialist is responsible for managing the logistical needs of each program, contributing to educational content, ensuring overall program execution, including budget management, and monitoring goals from inception to completion. They must excel at managing multiple projects and possess creativity, analytical skills, and a customer-centric approach. Moreover, the ideal candidate should thrive in a growth-oriented, collaborative team environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate on program execution and management with team members and supervisor.
  • Coordinate the creation of student-centered, chapter-centered, and teacher-centered resources, including aiding in training content development.
  • Collaborate with others to produce engaging training materials.
  • Recruit, interview, and train seasonal trainers/volunteers, implementing systems to enhance coordination.
  • Provide guidance on developing high-quality educational programs and assessment strategies.
  • Assist in developing specialized curriculum, evaluation strategies, and quality standards for FFA programs.
  • Ensure program alignment with FFA mission principles while analyzing efficiencies and providing long-term solutions.
  • Ensure resources support the organization's mission and vision, focusing on integrated agricultural education.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize development and evaluation methodologies.
  • Schedule program-related training and educational events.
  • Assist in proposal development.
  • Monitor, analyze, and propose program budgets.
  • Perform program planning, analysis, and reporting for management.
  • Manage resource allocations and workload assignments efficiently.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with clients/vendors and solicit feedback for program improvements.
  • Prioritize tasks, demonstrate strong communication and project management skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage and confident in public speaking.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree Preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Three years of relevant experience required.
  • One to three years of curriculum/content development experience is required.
  • Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Agricultural education / FFA experience preferred.
