Plant Controller

Responsibilities:

• Act as a financial liaison for site leadership, offering financial guidance and support for business operations.
• Lead the financial operations, including the facilitation of decision-making processes to meet business requirements.
• Manage the monthly financial closing process, ensuring the integrity of accounting records through detailed analytical review of operating results.
• Responsible for the generation of monthly financial statements and analytical reports.
• Prepare documentation supporting the monthly closing procedures and ensure accuracy of month-end account balances.
• Handle or oversee the preparation of journal entries to accurately reflect monthly financial activities.
• Ensure inventory accuracy against General Ledger and perpetual inventory reports.
• Streamline and enhance financial reporting and closing procedures to guarantee timely and precise reporting to Corporate for consolidation purposes.
• Oversee financial transactions by department, conducting thorough cost analysis compared to budget and forecasts, and providing in-depth performance analysis of all departments.
• In collaboration with Corporate, manage the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, engaging with site leaders for comprehensive planning.
• Assist with annual tax filings, R&D tax credits, and the year-end audit process as coordinated through Corporate, specifically pertaining to the site.
• Develop and uphold strong internal control processes, in alignment with Corporate guidelines, applicable to the site operations.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
• Conduct thorough analytical reviews of balance sheets, income statements, and overall business operations.
• Participate in the annual Year-end Audit process related to the site.
• Collaborate with site leadership to establish costing models for new ventures.
• Work with the broader Finance and Accounting teams across the company for cross-functional efficiency.
• Monitor and report on capital expenditures at the site, including the preparation of Return on Investment analyses for capital investments.
• Manage Operational Metrics reporting and analytics, focusing on Labor and Overhead costs.
• Analyze and report on cost changes and their impact on site profitability.
• Coordinate with site leadership on monthly shipment commitments.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting is highly desirable.
• Over 10 years of leadership experience in the fields of Accounting and/or Finance.
• Must have experience in the manufacturing sector.
• CPA designation is advantageous.
• A solid background in both private and public accounting sectors is preferred.
• Demonstrated history of progressive leadership.
