Position Summary


The Financial Controller supports the financial management of a manufacturing operation with a focus on cost controlling, inventory, and operational finance. The role works closely with production, supply chain, and plant management to ensure accurate financial reporting and to translate operational performance into financial results.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Closing & Accounting Support

Support monthly and quarterly closing activities

Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Assist in ensuring accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal controls


Manufacturing Controlling & Costing

Support material, labor, and overhead cost tracking

Assist in production variance and efficiency analysis

Contribute to cost calculations and cost structure transparency


Operational & Inventory Finance

Develop an understanding of material flow and manufacturing processes

Support inventory reporting, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities

Monitor inventory valuation and related balance sheet positions


ERP & Reporting (preferably with EPICOR)

Extract data from the ERP system and prepare structured financial and operational reports

Build and maintain Excel-based analyses and reporting tools

Support development of standardized reporting for plant management


Planning & Financial Analysis

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Support business planning activities and financial modeling

Translate operational developments into P&L impact

Support understanding and monitoring of key balance sheet items, especially working capital

Assist in maintaining and tracking a rolling 12-week cash flow forecast tool


Process Improvement

Contribute to improving financial processes, data quality, and reporting structures


Requirements

Qualifications


Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration


Experience and Skills required

Minimum 3 years of job experience in accounting, finance, or controlling is required

Experience in a manufacturing environment

2+ years Experience working with EPICOR or others ERP systems

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to create structured reports from system data EPICOR

Proficient and full understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

Basic understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing processes (preferably injection molding)
