KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and states in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure audit-ready financials with strong documentation and reconciliation practices
- Ensure proper financial controls
- Establish accounting policies and procedures
- Work closely with FP and A to produce actual, budgeted, and forecasted financial information
- Oversee accounting for a large RTO portfolio, including:
- Cost accounting for inventory
- Revenue recognition for retail sales
- Deferred revenue and receivables accounting
- Portfolio aging, collections tracking, and reserve analysis
- Establish and monitor allowance for doubtful accounts
- Partner with CFO and Operations to optimize RTO portfolio performance and cash flow
- Ensure proper accounting treatment within NetSuite, including system configuration and reporting
- Lead all cost accounting functions for manufacturing operations
- Standard costing and variance analysis
- Bill of materials management
- Labor and overhead allocation
- Oversee inventory accounting
- Data analysis
- Inventory valuation
- Fulfill multi-state compliance and audit requirements
- Oversee coordination of tax filings
- Lead and develop accounting team
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational partnership
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master's degree in Accounting or CPA designation strongly preferred
- 8-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles
- Prior experience in:
- Manufacturing
- Cost Accounting
- Rent-to-Own, leasing, or installment based revenue models (preferred)
- Multi-entity, multi-state operations
- Highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes
- Extensive hands-on experience with an ERP (preferably NetSuite)
