The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology. Education, Human Services or related field
  • PA license in professional counseling (LPC), clinical social work (LCSW), marriage and family therapy (LMFT), social work (LSW) or behavioral specialist licenses (BSL)
  • Minimum of five years direct service experience working with children or adolescents in a behavioral health services program.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a child and adolescent behavioral health services program.
  • Proficiency in problem solving, well developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with psychiatric diagnosis and knowledge of supportive and concrete services available to children and families via community and social service organizations
  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving and negotiation skills with consumers and to empower families
  • Mandatory ability to provide back up support to “crisis on-call” clinicians during and after office hours as part of a “crisis on-call “supervisory departmental rotation
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential data
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task to meet important deadlines

The CSBBH/IBHS Clinical Director will provide clinical and administrative supervision to IBHS/CSBBH staff. This position is responsible for providing team, administrative and supervisory oversight to ensure the delivery of clinical services and to ensure that all mandated governmental regulations are adhered to and that all reporting requirements are performed in a timely and efficient manner. The CSBBH/IBHS Clinical Director is also monitoring for effective staff relations with their clients and organizations having a direct impact on the services we provide. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly supervision and clinical support to supervisors and staff including but not limited to case reviews, treatment planning and assistance for required training presentations
  • Manage productivity to ensure service sustainability, including addressing productivity issues with supervisors and staff in a timely manner
  • Manage file compliance to ensure service sustainability, including addressing paperwork issues with staff in a timely manner
  • Ensure full compliance with agency policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Work closely with the Referral and Outcomes Manager to help manage and track quality outcomes and data
  • Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely and effective manner, including billing, reauthorization, and other insurance requirements as needed
  • Work collaboratively with Finance to ensure on time and accurate invoicing
  • Provide support for staff’s career development
  • Carry out on-call supervisor responsibilities (during business hours, evenings/weekends as necessary)
  • Assume the role of Mobile Therapist temporarily during times of staffing shortages
  • Perform other special assignments, projects or miscellaneous duties as requested

Additional Requirements: Act 33/34 Clearances current within one (1) year, FBI Clearance, Valid current PA Driver’s License, vehicle and proof of adequate vehicle /liability insurance coverage.  Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include evening and weekends.

Physical Requirements: Use of general office equipment (computer, keyboards, telephones, copy and telefax machines).  May require minimal filing.  Driving/operation of a vehicle.  Must be able to transport infants in car seats requiring lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
