Job Description

Overview

As a Fine Dining Restaurant Manager, youll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of an upscale Memphis restaurant with a loyal customer base. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of management, from overseeing staff to maintaining high standards of service, quality, and safety.

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday (dinner shift)


Responsibilities

Daily Operations

Coordinate both front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations.

Deliver superior service to maximize customer satisfaction.

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.

Regularly review product quality and explore new vendors.

Staff Management

Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff following company policies.

Organize and supervise shifts.

Set work schedules.

Appraise staff performance and provide constructive feedback.

Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products.

Financial Management

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce waste.

Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.

Promote the brand within the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.

Inventory Management

Oversee inventory levels, including beverages and supplies.

Implement efficient inventory control procedures.

Monitor stock levels, track usage, and reorder as needed.

Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery terms.

Customer Experience

Oversee the dining room, check-in with customers, and balance seating capacity.

Interact with guests, address concerns, and create a positive dining experience.

Maintain the restaurants good image and suggest ways to enhance it.

Back-of-House Responsibilities

Oversee food preparation.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in both front-of-house and back-of-house management.

Wine knowledge is required

Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Familiarity with restaurant regulations and industry trends.
