Who YOU are:

The Senior Branch Manager assumes responsibility for directing and for administering the operational efforts of two branches; follows established policies and procedures; oversees provision of business development within branch and a full range of services for current and prospective members; ensures that members are promptly and professionally served; trains, directs, and supervises branch staff. The Senior Branch Manager also provides leadership and guidance to the Assistant Branch Managers. This role requires contact with and direct reporting to the Director of Retail Banking.

  • Strong Financial Services Operations, Compliance and Regulatory experience. Six plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of credit union products, services, and industry standards.
  • Notary license or the ability to obtain a Notary license within 90 days of hire date.
  • Solid understanding of branch operations and functions, which include account administration, deposit, trust, and individual retirement accountants (IRAs); consumer lending, cross- selling, and business development.
  • Strong sales/service and leadership. Establishes good working relationships with personnel, colleagues, members, and management.
  • Ensure that branch transactions and growth are consistent with established objectives, which include loan, checking volumes, and membership.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills. Has attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.

What YOU’LL do:

  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, and policies. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination as appropriate.
  • Ensure that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective positions. Complete orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Perform cross-training, as necessary. Conduct security training. Monitors and responds to member feedback within established service level agreements.
  • Track individual progress, and annually conduct performance appraisals for all branch employees. Conduct monthly coaching and staff development for all branch employees. Formulate and implement corrective actions, as necessary. Recommend promotions for employees, as appropriate. Provide leadership training to employees seeking management opportunities. Ensures that branch achieves assigned production and member experience goal expectations.
  • Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles members' complaints. Ensures members are informed of company services and policies. Counsels’ members regarding their financial needs and services requested. Manages the relationship with high profile clients. Partners with Relationship Managers on community involvement and SEG opportunities.
  • Assume responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of branch operations. Maintain and manages proper cash controls and operations including but not limited to cash limits, cash shipments and negotiable items. Balances all branch transactions, at the closing of each day. Provides approvals and overrides for transactions within policy guidelines.
  • Fill in and perform duties in branch positions, as necessary.
