Operations Coordinator, American Custom Meats (Tracy, CA)

$67,000-$90,000 (Exempt/Salaried Position)

Position Overview

If you are enthusiastic and patient, have excellent problem solving and follow-through skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, the Operations Coordinator position is perfect for you!

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing job cost data, closing production entries, auditing formulas, and collaborating with Purchasing and Scheduling on inventory control of both raw materials and finished goods. This position works with multiple departments to develop a broad understanding of the plant’s capabilities and processes, and requires a high level of interdepartmental communication and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for operational activities and interdepartmental meetings and communications
  • Assists with supply chain management including raw and finished good inventory levels
  • Identifies inefficiencies in workflows and processes and recommends and implements improvements
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes various database reports, closes and audits production entry records, generates data and reporting to support decision making and planning
  • Cross trains with purchasing, scheduling, and customer service to provide back up as needed
  • Provides administrative support to the Operations Manager and the operations team

Education

Associates Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or equivalent education and/or experience

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or equivalent education and/or experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • Three – Five years’ relevant experience in operations, logistics, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with operational processes, logistics, supply chain management, and project management principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with project coordination, data analysis, and/or process improvement
  • Experience with database management software; Experience with Canopy a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing industry, food processing a plus
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
