We are looking for a General Manager to join our team in Wetumpka/Montgomery, Alabama!

As a General Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work with innovative products that include: wheelchair-accessible vehicles, mobility seating options, hand controls, scooters, and wheelchair lifts, and a variety of other driving aids. You'll be helping bring mobility and independence to people of all ages and various stages of life while building relationships for continued service and ongoing assistance. The General Manager assumes responsibility and is accountable for customer retention and the profitability of each department in the dealership on behalf of the dealer.

General Manager Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for profitability in all departments in the dealership
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts for all departments
  • Hire, mentor and monitor the performance of all department heads
  • Maintain superior customer service (CSI) through dealership culture
  • Review KPIs daily for every department and make necessary adjustments to increase production
  • Assist in developing an advertising and marketing plan
  • Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process
  • Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network
  • Provide training and support to all staff
  • Assist sales managers in closing deals and attracting more customers

General Manager Requirements:
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive management experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of inventory control
  • Strong computer and phone skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast paced environment
  • Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
