Early Childhood Educator / Office Manager

We are looking for a professional, personable, and organized individual to take on the responsibilities of running the office and educational programs at Early Childhood Development Associates (ECDA). You would be joining a tight-knit team working under the leadership of the Center's Director in a positive collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate would be the ultimate girl/guy Friday who would ensure smooth operation of the organization while juggling a day full of people, excitement, and responsibilities.
ECDA is a small boutique early childhood child development center that's known and respected in the community. Through our work, we contribute to the academic and psychological development of children 0-10 years of age and provide education and support for their families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations of the center
- Working with young children ages 0-5 in our group programs.
- Communicating with Clients; addressing clients' inquiries and scheduling needs
- Maintaining and managing the appointment schedule of the ECDA director
- Maintaining and expanding social media presence of ECDA via Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Planning creative learning activities, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling, based on the ECDA curriculum
- Managing a team of associates and trainees
- Organizing learning materials and handouts for clients and employees
- Ordering and reordering supplies
- Overlooking maintenance and cleanup/set-up of the activities area
- Following and upholding policies and procedures of ECDA
Desired Qualifications:
- Genuinely enjoys working with and around children and their families
- Clean background check
- Prior experience as an Assistant/Office Manager is a plus
- Computer savvy(PC Platform) and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), as well as Google Drive, One Drive, and Zoom
- Comfortable using social media platforms to maintain and expand media presence of the organization
- Diplomatic and responsive in addressing the needs of the clients (children + parents).
- Reliable and dependable with strong work ethic
- Able to work independently as well as a part of the team
- Able to multitask and handle competing priorities
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Creative and playful
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and dynamic thinker with a positive "can-do" attitude
