Job Description

 

  • Author will be responsible for authoring responsible for validation of supplied automotive service documents and capture opportunities to identify errors, suggest corrections, enhance quality and clarity of document, and submit details to client.
  • Manage new and current documents within change control database - SharePoint.
  • Support technical leads in completing vehicle projects.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on vehicle project progress to leadership.
  • Apply automotive knowledge in order to identify appropriate content in publications.
  • Interact with internal and external authoring teams, on-site validation teams, and team members from around the globe.
  • At times, responsible for answering dealer feedback.
  • Fill out timesheets, job tracking logs, and gather information from assignments accurately.

  • Automotive skills : Working knowledge/understanding of automotive vehicles; dealership/technician experience preferred: service industry, service equipment (5+yrs)
  • Computer skills : Microsoft applications (Excel; Intermediate/advanced), Windows applications (IE/Edge/Chrome/Firefox)
  • Data Mining : Experience working within client tools; Global Service Information (GSI), Global Connect
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly, set priority, and work with minimal oversite.
  • Attention to detail, who can investigate issues and verify information.
  • Positive attitude to change, with ability to give and present feedback to superior(s).

One ASE or two State of Michigan automotive repair certifications.
