Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay Range: $85,000-$115,000 per year

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA designation preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Reader/Pro
  • Proficient in QuickBooks (Bill.com & Bamboo HR a plus)
What You'll Be Doing:
As an Assistant Controller at Stockman Kast Ryan + Co. you'll assist in managing our firm's financial operations. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. As part of the team, you'll focus on monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight and management of controls and compliance, tax, and cash projections.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements within required deadlines.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare the general ledger accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Conduct various analyses to identify trends, evaluate performance against budget, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements with the accounting function. Documenting SOP's.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making initiatives.
  • Prepare and process payroll, including submission of files for employee benefits.
  • Oversight of accounts receivable
  • Prepare and oversight of accounts payable processes.
  • Analyzing and recording credit card transactions.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
