Job Description

Job Summary:
Our client’s Manager of Information Technology will provide the leadership and perform the execution for designing, developing, and implementing IT initiatives.

Responsibilities include influencing and directing our client’s IT infrastructure and applications evolution to ensure key business strategies and processes are driven by systems that enable change, growth, and flexibility. This hands-on Manager must ensure our client’s IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient, and strategically sound, reflecting business needs, and creating value for the company and our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
LEADERSHIP

  • Lead, develop, and implement IT initiatives that enable the Company to operate effectively
  • Translate the company vision into IT systems and procedures and communicate changes at all levels
  • Ensure the structure and partnerships support current and future business needs
  • Demonstrate collaboration and ensure our systems environment addresses the needs of the business

STRATEGY

  • Lead and coordinate development of infrastructure to meet business strategies and enable growth and flexibility
  • Develop plans and budgets considering internal work needs and operating unit’s approved projects
  • Analyze, evaluate, identify, and develop strategic partnerships with key IT suppliers, vendors, and consultant organizations
  • Translate business needs into system solutions making maximum use of available tools

EXECUTION

  • Secure necessary application systems to support business and operational needs
  • Develop IT policies and procedures to ensure consistency and leveraging common systems
  • Measure IT performance relative to cost, value creation and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee key areas of operating systems, telecommunications, network management and desktop support
  • Review and renew IT licenses and contracts
  • Lead and coordinate selection, installation, operation, support, and maintenance of IT infrastructure
  • Protect the company and its operations against IT risks
  • Set office automation standards within the company and oversee acquisition, deployment, and support of office support systems
  • Procurement of IT related equipment (building access, HVAC systems, security & fire alarm systems)
  • Provide appropriate technical training and support all users
  • Collaborate with team to develop and launch technology-based products and services


Requirements:

  • Verifiable track record of effective leadership, which includes strong strategic thinking and successful execution with technical and intellectual resources
  • Experience with systems administration
  • Understanding of and experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of help desk management and process improvement
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization
  • Internal and external customer service


Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years of total IT experience including computer operations management, previous roles in systems implementation, and supervision of technical personnel, architecture, security/compliance, business-wide strategic planning, and budgetary responsibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
