Overview


JST is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team.

This is a full-time ON-SITE position at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Program Lead serves as the primary point of contact and management authority within the AU Academic Education and Research Support initiative. This role is pivotal in overseeing the program's operational, strategic, and administrative functions to ensure that all activities align with the U.S. Air Force's educational and research objectives. The Program Lead orchestrates the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of program components, including curriculum development, technology integration, subject matter expertise, and liaison activities.


Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all program components, ensuring objectives are met within budget and timelines.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance. Mentor staff and manage resource allocation to support program goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the program and external entities, including military and defense stakeholders, educational institutions, and government agencies. Ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain quality control plans to ensure program deliverables meet or exceed standards. Ensure compliance with military, educational, and contractual guidelines.
  • Develop and refine program strategies based on evolving educational needs and defense priorities. Monitor program performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Program Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred and may be required for certain complexity levels of the program.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program leadership, preferably within a military, defense, or educational setting.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Additional certifications related to education, leadership, or defense studies are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing complex programs, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance
