Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Summary of Position:
As an AR Follow-Up Specialist, you help maintain the success of our clients by following up on outstanding or rejected insurance claims. You will put your investigation skills to work as you try to identify issues in the insurance claim and work to correct those issues with various insurance providers. During this process you will be simultaneously coordinating medical records to gather any additional information the insurance provider may need to process the claim. In this position you have the chance to positively impact our clients & the patients they serve!
Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on all outstanding insurance claims. This includes correspondence related to claims, denials and rebills for claims.
- Will be able to communicate and understand insurance explanation of benefits and other insurance correspondence.
- Coordinate necessary arrangements for medical records requests and any additional information needed to be sent to the appropriate location based on client or insurance instructions.
- Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service to clients, providers, and coworkers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work and collaborate with multiple teams.
Qualifications:
- 2 years AR follow-up experience required
- Self-motivated and able to multitask while on phone calls for insurance claims.
- Experience with providing excellent customer service.
- Able to effectively use a computer and willingness to learn required applications. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to take on more responsibilities and offer suggestions for improvements.
- Ability to maintain standard productivity and quality assurance standards.
- Familiarity with medical billing software systems is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with medical insurance and follow up procedures is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA is preferred, but not required.
