Fabrication Manager
We’re seeking a senior level Fabrication Manager who can optimize fabrication processes, meet aggressive deadlines, and exceed client expectations. This is a Direct Hire position at a leading provider of high-quality steel pipe and structural fabrication in the Inland Empire.
As Fabrication Manager, you will be a pivotal force in driving manufacturing operations to excellence. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the project process, accuracy, and quality of finished products.
To be a successful fabrication manager, you should have the ability to work with multiple projects and competing schedules with differing criteria while demonstrating excellent fabrication shop management and skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate with engineering, management, and ownership to coordinate, understand, and prioritize project criteria and schedules.
Train, guide, and lead a team of fabricators to follow engineered blueprints and meet tolerances in the fabrication process.
Schedule helpers, fabricators, and overtime as needed, to meet project schedules within budget.
Ensure project compliance with applicable practices, codes, policies, performance standards, and
specifications.
Perform continual quality checks to ensure criteria is met throughout the fabrication process.
Immediately communicate all deviations from schedule or criteria and propose corrective actions.
Skills & Abilities:
10 years’ experience leading fast-paced fabrication shop of 15-20 fabricators
AWS D1.1 certification, Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding
Computer literacy, MS Suite
Forklift certification/ Train-the-Trainer
Excellent strategic thinking, multi-tasking, and project planning
Excellent communication
Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Blueprint reading, weld symbols, etc.
Bilingual, Spanish/ English
