POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the front-of-house team at Paseo, you'll create memorable experiences for our guests. Helping to manage FOH operations, your leadership and guidance will be essential for out front-of-house staff to maintain and expand the friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely service style that has resulted in Paseo being a restaurant that achieves a high level of guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Employee management including hiring, training, and terminations.
  • Display a positive style of customer service and engagement.
  • Purchasing and inventory management.
  • Promoting the clean, safe, and consistent food service preparation.
  • Financial performance of the restaurant.
  • Food and labor cost analysis.
  • Understand and monitor monthly sales product breakdown.
  • Collaborate on restaurant business plans by surveying restaurant demand.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge base on current trends.
  • Manage ongoing safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Daily, weekly reporting; monthly P&L reconciliation and inventory management.
  • Fully participate in company initiatives.
  • POS system management.
  • Participate in local marketing.
  • Other various operational responsibilities and duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities following the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring, firing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (college degree).
  • 4+ years of customer service experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Restaurant experience a plus (fine dining).
  • 1+ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
