The Senior Director of Human Resources is a key leader guiding management strategies toward continuous improvement of HR related initiatives, team member growth and development; ensuring that management, and team members have effective and accessible Human Resources advice, guidance and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Has ownership and responsibility of all team member relations ensuring the HR team and management have access to resources/information necessary to support the team.
- Responsible to decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity and diversity/inclusion for team members. Is an active member (or another HR team member) of the IDEA committee ensuring team members views are represented and evaluated through IDEA programming.
- Provide guidance to management team in resolving team member relations issues; provide coaching to team members and recommending appropriate corrective action for behavior and performance improvements.
- Ensures WHV has a robust recruitment program. Coordinates WHV recruitment activities with the department managers/directors.
- Represents WHV at Unemployment Hearings and Workers Compensation. Collects and prepares all necessary documentation for hearings and review processes.
- Supervision and development of Human Resource team members.
- Partner with President & CEO and WHV managers to execute team member development strategies.
- Effectively presents critical HR and information to Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, CEO.
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within HR.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management; Master’s preferred (or equivalent degrees in marketing, business or Administration.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with leadership team members.
- Ability to be a “big picture” thinker.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
