Program Director, Northern NJ Post Pandemic Workforce Training

We are seeking a Program Director for our Northern New Jersey Post Pandemic Workforce Training Initiative. This person will manage the day-to-day implementation of a new grant-funded workforce training initiative to train local residents to set them on a career pathway in the region's fast-growing renewable energy/solar sector.

This is a full-time, grant-funded administrative position.

Example of Duties:

• Manage day-to-day implementation of the project to ensure accomplishment of objectives.
• Implement a comprehensive outreach, marketing, and recruitment plan to include a wide variety of activities and media.
• Coordinate intake, enrollment, orientation, and training activities for participants.
• Align wrap-around support services for program participants with workforce training to address barriers to participation.
• Supervise program staff.
• Support efforts related to regional collaboration and innovation clusters in the clean energy and related emerging sectors.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with other agencies, organizations, and employers to foster participant and program success.
• Effectively promote and communicate project goals to diverse partners.
• Develop a program handbook of policies and procedures for managing the grant.
• Effectively manage program budget; document and maintain records.
• Prepare required project reports.
• Ensure program activities comply with all funder regulations and requirements.
• Attend and participate in activities convened by the funder.
• Participate in all aspects of program evaluation, including the development of best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience in managing educational, training, or workforce development programs or related transferrable experience.
• Proven ability to work with project and community stakeholders to develop and implement quality programs and services.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Previous experience working on a grant-funding project a plus.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as program requires.
