The Opportunity

As part of the America’s leadership team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Dealer Development Manager, Rental. This role is pivotal, serving as a link between various departments and reporting directly to the Director of Dealer Development. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the entire SANY America Inc. team, interfacing while focusing on the recruitment of heavy dealers and to establish the re-marketing program.

Working in tandem with Regional Business Managers, prospective partners, and internal stakeholders, the Dealer Development Manager, Rental will establish strong partnerships. The role involves fostering close working relationships with commercial, dealer support, customer support, mergers & acquisitions, legal, profitability, certified used and performance programs.

With current revenues just short of $1B, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase their market share. This role will require a leader who is forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and motivated to seize the opportunity to represent and grow a respected global brand in the Americas market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will work directly with the Director of Dealer Development to ensure an effective strategy is executed. This will require:

  • Formulate and execute a 5-year strategic development plan, placing a strong emphasis on Dealer Rental and OEM Re-Rental.
  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to promote rental equipment packages to drive increased sales, market share, profitability, and elevated customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough financial analyses of potential new rental dealers, specifically evaluating their capacity for engaging in rental equipment offerings and identifying market trends.
  • Implement effective methods for analysing dealer financial performance and trends within the rental equipment sector, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans tailored to enhance the overall performance of recruited dealers, with a primary focus on expanding rental equipment services.
  • Support the automation of dealer activity reporting and streamline associated processes, with a specific emphasis on rental equipment transactions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the establishment of rental dealer standards, actively participating in the implementation of comprehensive dealer business plans, specifically addressing rental equipment portfolios.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the dealer body, business units, and IT, with a particular emphasis on rental equipment partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop coverage plans and strategic initiatives for rental equipment development, aligning efforts with the existing and future dealer network.
  • Work closely with data and commercial analysts to create compelling commercial business cases, specifically tailored to the rental equipment sector.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities related to rental equipment management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in the role
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will:
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory, with a preference for a degree in Finance.
  • 12+ years of professional experience, demonstrating a blend of expertise from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Large Rental Store environments.
  • Demonstrate robust negotiation skills acquired through substantial industry experience.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective interaction in professional settings.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, proficient in utilizing tools such as MS Office, Tableau, and Salesforce to drive insightful decision-making and strategic planning.
EDUCATION
  • The successful candidate ideally will have a Bachelor of Science, Business, Data Analytics, or Finance.


COMPENSATION

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
