Job Summary: Parts Counterman
Classic Kia, a premier auto dealership in Waukegan, Illinois, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Counterman to join our team. As a Parts Counterman, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing a variety of tasks related to ordering, receiving, storing, and selling auto parts. This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive salary of $14 per hour, paid biweekly. This individual contributor role provides a great opportunity for growth in the auto industry.

Responsibilities: Parts Counterman
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct auto parts for their vehicles
- Utilize computer systems to look up and order parts as needed
- Receive and inspect incoming parts, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct weekly inventory counts
- Stock and organize parts in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain clean and organized parts department and work area
- Process returns and handle warranty claims
- Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Parts Counterman or in a similar role in the auto industry
- Strong knowledge of and experience with auto parts and their functions
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for inventory management and order entry
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate inventory records and counts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.)
