Job Description

Position Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Summary: The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This position involves a broad range of accounting duties, from recording financial transactions to preparing financial statements and managing payroll, which is prepared by an outside firm. The Full Charge Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and providing essential support to management decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in accordance with established accounting procedures.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Manage payroll processing, including calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring proper classification and coding of transactions.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
Monitor financial transactions for compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external accountants providing necessary documentation and support.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices, and implement changes as needed to ensure compliance and efficiency.
