IT Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Director of IT Operations to lead our technology operations. The IT Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day IT operations ensuring the implementation, support and maintenance of IT services and infrastructure that support our business and align with our organizational goals. This leadership role involves strategic collaboration with peers, consultants, and contractors from various sectors to deliver comprehensive IT business solutions that exceeds customer expectations. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering innovation, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring operational excellence across all technology platforms.

In addition to possessing a strong technical background, the IT Operations Director will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, effectively assessing situations, prioritizing issues, and swiftly resolving challenges. By leveraging their experience, expertise, and innovative thinking, the IT Operations Director will contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the organization's IT infrastructure and service delivery.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Provide maintenance to local company networks while maintaining and optimizing the technology landscape.

· Executing critical IT related manufacturing procedures and conducting investigations into IT related deviations in manufacturing activities.

· Cultivate and manage internal customer relationships, establishing effective communication channels to update stakeholders on IT initiatives and their impact.

· Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in addressing and resolving issues, taking ownership until resolution.

· Own issues through resolution, escalating to appropriate support member/team when necessary.

· Lead the installation, updating, and configuration of IT and OT hardware and software, working closely with the IT team to ensure system integrity.

· Monitor, and analyze system performance and provide valid recommendations and suggestions to improve performance from an operational standpoint.

· Develop operational strategies by analyzing business functions and information needs, contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.

· Ensure high levels of service delivery, systems availability, security controls and recoverability.

· Prepare reports and ensure optimal performance and maintain records of operational performance and service level agreements with internal customers.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 7 years of IT Operations experience in complex, fast pace, cross-functional corporate environments.

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Operations Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

· Microsoft Azure and O365 certifications highly desirable.

· Network certifications highly desirable.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and business personnel at all levels of an organization.

· Proving experience managing IT systems in highly regulated environments.

· Experience in multiple technologies in the areas of Network switches, routers, wireless APs, firewalls, Server OS’, Client OS’, Server & client hardware, cabling infrastructure.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

· Capability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.

· Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products and Virtual Desktops.

· Experience with Audio Visual systems’ management, maintenance and support.

· Familiarity with industrial control systems/operational technology components and systems (Programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, process automation systems, manufacturing execution systems, etc).

· Experience with GMP (GAMP5) documentation and practices is required.
