Part-Time Payroll & Benefits Specialist

J2T Financial Recruiting has partnered with a well-known firm seeking a Part-Time Payroll & Benefits Specialist. The selected candidate will act as the point person for all employee benefits-related inquiries, including adjustments to 401K, address info, Inputting expense reports, processing commissions, and posting 401K contributions. The selected candidate will also be responsible for running payroll in ADP and Workforce Now for 50 employees, including those in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Manage all aspects of payroll administration, including data entry, payroll deductions, and tax filings.
• Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain payroll-related spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll and benefits information.
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate payroll processing around the 15th and 30th of every month.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Bonus points for candidates with experience in Canadian payroll processing and benefits administration.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
• Hybrid schedule – One day in the office a week is preferred.
