Restaurant General Manager

We are looking for a skilled restaurant manager to help our restaurant increase its customer base and improve the quality of both operations and our menu offerings. You will be responsible for leading every aspect of our business, including motivating our staff and delivering a high-quality menu.
Your job will also include back-of-the-house tasks to ensure our restaurant operates as efficiently as possible. This includes tracking and maintaining inventory, maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, and ensuring that all food health and safety requirements are consistently met.
To succeed in this role, candidates will need to be equally capable of managing others and overseeing back-of-the-house operations. The amount of time that you spend in each of these roles can vary from night to night. Therefore, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their ability to work successfully in a fast-paced setting.
Ultimately, we are looking for a manager who can help us grow our restaurant. Candidates who have demonstrated this capability will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, and train new staff
Coordinate and manage daily restaurant operations in the front- and back-of-house
Deliver superior customer service and motivate staff to do the same
Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
Ensure compliance with all food and safety requirements
Track inventory, estimate future needs for goods, and order those goods as needed. Ability to recognize how to cut costs of entire inventory without surrendering quality
Identify and implement measures to cut waste and improve profits
Promote the restaurant in the local community and recommend methods for reaching a broader audience
Support staff in the front- or back-of-house as needed
Weekly reports on restaurant activity and sales
Requirements:
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management is strongly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, hospitality management, or culinary schooling is a plus
Proven customer experience skillset and the ability to teach that skillset to others
Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Square and OpenTable
Strong motivational, leadership, and people skills
Competence with event planning, financial management, digital communication
Ability to represent our brand in a professional way
