Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Lakeland, FL within the fragrance and flavour industry, is seeking a Distillation Operator to join their team!

Distillation Operator Job Summary:

·         $21.00+, Based on Experience

·         90 Days, Contract to Hire

·         3rd Shift

     9:30pm – 5:30sm

·         This candidate will follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality product, maximum output, and a safe working environment. Additionally, you will run distillation and solvent extraction processes utilizing SAP to maintain inventory controls.

·         Operates distillation processes and equipment, following standard operating procedures, to manufacture products safely and efficiently. Monitors computer readings, manually adjusts stills, and obtains samples for in-process testing to ensure product quality.

·         Maintains records, process orders, and logbooks, entering run information into DeltaV. Possesses knowledge of products processed in the inside distillation area. Labels, stores, and perform inventory transfers using barcode scanners, SAP, and forklifts for intermediate and finished products.

·         Practices good housekeeping, adheres to safety guidelines (GMP, ISO, FSSC 22000, OSHA), and handles containers with proper equipment. Ensures safe handling of hazardous waste, reports issues to management, and attends site training sessions, including annual hazardous waste training.

Distillation Operator Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or GED required.

·         Strong communication skills

·         Basic computer skills – knowledge of general production (equipment, products, processes)

·         Work in compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), food safety and other internal safety guidelines.

·         Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and crouching is required.

·         1-2 years of manufacturing experience

·         Mechanical background is a plus.
