Job description

Job Title: Distillation TechnicianJob Description

As a Distillation Technician, you will be responsible for operating and overseeing equipment used for the distillation process, including managing the distillation of target compounds and batches from specified raw materials. Your role will involve conducting temperature checks, completing batch records in accordance with GMP and SOPs, performing calculations, and ensuring quality control through product inspections and sampling. You will also record various data points and input information into a computer tracking system, all while adhering to best practices and continuously improving processes. The shift for this position is from 1pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and oversee distillation equipment for processing target compounds and batches.
  • Conduct temperature checks and complete batch records per GMP and SOPs.
  • Perform necessary calculations and provide samples for quality control testing.
  • Record required data points and input information into the tracking system.
  • Comply with best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Continuously work on process improvements.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in distillation, purification, and compounding processes.
  • Knowledge of fractional and steam distillation, batch making, and chemical handling.
  • Ability to operate in a GMP environment and familiarity with chemistry and laboratory procedures.
  • Competence in using a computer for data entry and tracking.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
