Director of Financial Aid

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Director of Financial Aid will provide leadership for all of the student financial aid functions of the University. The successful candidate will understand regulations associated with traditional and non-traditional student aid, be able to work with a wide variety of campus departments, and be knowledgeable in developing financial aid strategy that aligns with overall University goals.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee traditional and non-traditional student-aid.
- Develop long-term strategy to effectively utilize and distribute federal, state, and institutional aid.
- Lead a team of and oversee financial aid counselors and student workers.
- Provide leadership in implementing financial aid strategy in conjunction with financial aid counselors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies for financial aid.
- Work with external partners and vendors in relation to their role in student financial aid.
- Collaborate with various other areas of campus in providing excellent customer service to and communication with current and prospective students and families.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience developing financial aid packages for traditional and non-traditional students.
- Highly analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Leadership skills to work with a wide variety of campus constituencies.
