Job Description
JCS Solutions has a need for a Communications Strategy Analyst (Deputy Commandant for Information, Information Maneuver Division (DCO-IMD) to work closely with a US Marine Corps contract at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. As part of DCI IMD Readiness Branch, provides comprehensive project management leadership and expertise through a variety of project management frameworks to successfully achieve the branch’s highest priorities. Key Responsibilities:

The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
  • The integration of Communications Strategy (COMMSTRAT) with information related capabilities and operations in the information environment.
  • Leveraging in-depth knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps policy and capabilities, specializing in Communications Strategy (Public Affairs).
  • Assisting leadership in identifying opportunities for capability integration in support of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) as part of broader MAGTF/Naval operations.
  • Developing innovative service offerings by applying a mix of strategic and technical knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps operating environments, Communications Strategy and Operations, up-to-date technologies, and Marine Corps force requirements.
  • Work individually, or as a team member in the analysis of technical requirements and the development of recommendations regarding solutions.
  • As appropriate, brief results of marketing activity to senior leadership and provide updates on growth measures.
  • Develop COMMSTRAT/Public Affairs specific content generation in support of reviews and development of Joint and Service Policy, Strategy, and Doctrine.
  • Provide COMMSTRAT/Public Affairs specific written and verbal feedback on draft Joint and Service Policy, Strategy, and Doctrine.
  • Provide written and verbal recommendations on the operationalization of COMMSTRAT/Public Affairs
  • Be able to speak to the idea of “inform to influence”.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret with SCI Access (TS/SCI) Clearance (Fully adjudicated)
  • Staff experience researching and writing white papers and other information and policy documents.
  • Proficient in developing briefing materials, administrative, and logistics support.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively, including public speaking, and briefing senior officers.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) enabling precise conveyance of information with command and proper enunciation of the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Must be flexible, dependable and be able to multi-task with priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college.
  • 5+ years of experience with strategic or operational planning.
  • 3+ years of experience with interagency planning and operations, and Joint planning experience.

Desired Requirements: 
  • MA or MS degree preferred.
  • Successfully attended any Joint or Service-specific Information planning course/school.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
