Import Export Administrator

Job Description:

Prepare and audit export documentation for shipments and settlements and ensure timely processing of export shipments

Liaise with shipping lines to obtain the required documentation, including bills of lading, and to identify and resolve discrepancies as required

Review Letter of Credit (L/C) requirements; generate compliant documentation for presentation to advising bank

Communicate daily with appropriate internal/external customers, loading facilities, freight forwarders, brokers, vendors, and customers

Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure vessel transaction payments are made and collected timely

Create, assemble, present, and submit applicable export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with export laws and regulations

Issue Commercial invoices by validating data integrity and accuracy, obtain Ocean Bill of Lading from Forwarders, ensuring AES filing

Maintain export files in an organized and catalogue system

Ensure compliance with export laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or related area of study highly preferred

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High attention to detail

Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to multi-task while still maintaining a high level of organization

Strong knowledge of Air Export & TSA regulations and documentation

Hazmat certification a plus

Minimum 5 years experience in domestic/import/export documentation or a related field
