LOCATION: Huntsville, AL
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD Secret security clearance

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site, Exempt


POSITION SUMMARY


EWA Warrior Services is seeking a talented Quality Manager to lead the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). This includes ensuring compliance with AS9001 and developing and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager ensures adherence to quality standards, oversees Quality Supervisor, and conducts root cause analysis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. This position is expected to evolve with additional responsibilities as the organization grows.


RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

  • Conduct root cause analyses for quality issues.
  • Perform process and quality audits to ensure compliance with and assess the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Maintain and update the QMS, including training operations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Lead quality enhancements using statistical tools.
  • Ensure quality monitoring devices meet standards.
  • Support tailoring of processes for project requirements.
  • Coordinate quarterly QM Reviews with the Management Team.
  • Work across departments to capture and mitigate enterprise risks and improve quality.
  • Coordinate external audits by potential customers and accreditation organizations.
  • Coordinate and conduct audits of current and prospective vendors.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and develop employees on quality systems and procedures.
  • Lead programmatic quality activities within the company.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex documentation for compliance with procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Represent the organization on quality-related matters to stakeholders and on proposal efforts.
  • Obtain, analyze, and coordinate corrective action, on significant deviations from quality standards. Effectively communicates relevant information to the management team.
  • Participates in the review of all design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation & procedures to ensure that the customers' quality requirements are met, both for current and new customers.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in overall defect-reduction, monitors defect-reduction procedure effectiveness, and works with Engineering team to implement appropriate adjustments.
  • Works with Quality Engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues on the production floor.
  • Establish and track departmental goals and objectives that provide world-class quality and technical services performance to the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to optimize efficiency, mitigate risks, and enhance overall project outcomes.
  • Up to 10% travel.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business or technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Quality Assurance field.
  • Experience working with Engineering/Developmental departments.
  • Proficiency with writing audit plans.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100D and IS09001
  • Strong ability to work within a small, matrixed team environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and high level of attention-to-detail.
  • Highly proficient in both speaking and writing the English language.
  • Ability to work independently.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Six Sigma Certification / Lean Management experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Software development / Kanban Methodology experience.
  • ISO 9001-2015 Auditor / AS9100 Rev D Auditor experience.
