Social Media Associate

Are you passionate about crafting engaging content and connecting with online communities? We're in search of a Social Media Associate who is eager to collaborate and join our social media/community team. We need someone who can contribute fresh ideas, drive engagement, and assist in executing social media strategies to elevate our brand presence across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Expertise: Demonstrates proficiency in social media best practices with a focus on TikTok.
• Interest Alignment: Ideally, possess a genuine interest in crafting, candle/soap making, and DIY projects.
• Knowledge Development:
• Acquires a working knowledge of our products, candle making processes, industry terminology, and common pain points.
• Engages with the candle making community to understand their needs and behaviors.
• Familiarize yourself with our brand's social media voice.
• Works collaboratively with other marketing teams, including the video content team.
• Daily Tasks:
• Assists with maintaining our social media presence, including responding to comments and inquiries on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Provides mild to moderate levels of customer support, addressing common candle making and fragrance-related questions.
• Assists in drafting and scheduling basic posts, adhering to our monthly content calendar.
• Monitor our accounts for spam and engage with the community to foster positive interactions.
• Graphic Design: Handles basic graphic design tasks such as creating Instagram posts, Stories, and Reel covers.
• Community Engagement:
• Identify potential collaboration opportunities and influential accounts to enhance our brand presence.
• Take ownership of our TikTok account, actively growing our following by creating engaging content and staying attuned to current trends.
• Experiment with new content formats while maintaining alignment with our brand identity.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in front of the camera or a willingness to develop this skill.
• Proficiency in social media platforms, particularly TikTok.
• Genuine interest in crafting, candle/soap making, or related DIY activities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with a passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends.
• Minimum college degree or high school diploma with relevant experience

The Salary Range is $42,000-$48,000 based upon experience.
