Job Description

The American Solar & Roofing’s Office Manager works to keep employee satisfaction high by overseeing employee retention/satisfaction programs, recruiting and staffing, managing benefit programs, employee communication, etc. Additionally, they will provide administrative to support to the CEO. NOTE - this position will move to full-time within 60-90 days of employment.    

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the executive team and other departments as needed. This includes managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Human Resources: Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, maintain employee records, and oversee HR-related activities such as payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Accounting and Finance: Assist with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day office operations, including maintaining office supplies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Technology and IT Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, coordinate with external IT vendors as needed, and assist with the implementation and maintenance of office technology systems.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between different departments within the organization, ensuring that information flows smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications - Required

Experience and Education:

  • 2+ years HR experience required
  • 3+ years professional experience required (in addition to HR experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree (in a HR or business field) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

 Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Excellent written communication skills, including business writing
  • Excellent organizational skills and comprehension skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook

 

Physical Qualifications:

  • Long stretches of time sitting and using a computer
  • Extended periods of time reading a computer screen
  • Repetitive motion for data entry (typing/clicking)
  • Hauling/moving files: the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs
